October 1, 2010 Hitachi Software Engineering Europe changes the name to Hitachi Solutions Europe Ltd.  This change is due to the merger of our Japanese parent company, Hitachi Software Engineering Co. Ltd with Hitachi Systems & Services, Ltd. which is 100% owned by Hitachi Ltd.

The primary goal for this merger is to strengthen marketplace competitiveness by enhancing systems-solutions providing capabilities through the harnessing of both companies’ management resources.

Hitachi Software Engineering has garnered or received recognition from customers for its ability to develop large-scale systems as well as packaged products based on platform technologies. Hitachi Systems & Services, meanwhile, boasts a storehouse of experience and expertise in the proposal, design and construction of administrative systems for customers.

The merger announced today will combine both companies’ strengths, giving the new company a wider range of business know-how and experience in all business sectors.

In accordance with this change, as of 1 October 2010 our company names will be as follows:

Hitachi Solutions Europe Ltd for the UK

Hitachi Solutions Europe AG for the Germany

Hitachi Solutions Europe S.A.S for France
